about US

It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Vulnerable Aid Organization is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of projects and a large volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.

In 2013, a group of students from the school of social works Osu, went to some communities for their field work as a requirement for the award of diploma in social work and saw how rural folks live in abject poverty. Aside being poor, they are faced with several social problems like open defecation, no safe drinking water, high rate of illiteracy, teenage pregnancy, cholera outbreak etc.

In an attempt to help find lasting solution to these bottle-necks, the students out of willingness engaged in community sensitization activities and linking communities to the available resources needed for relief. They students built the capacities of traditional leaders and other stakeholders to make use of the district assemblies for developmental projects. This therefore necessitated the creation of Vulnerable Aid Organization to help minimize the plight of vulnerability in society.
